AWS Summit London 2024

An exciting series of events is coming to an end. For our client Amazon Web Services, we were able to realise all summits in the EMEA region in 2024. In the period from April to September, we were able to check in a total of almost 100,000 guests at the summits in Paris, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Dubai, Milan, Stockholm, Madrid, Johannesburg and Zurich.

Flagship Summit London

There were almost 45,000 registrations for the AWS Summit London alone and we welcomed over 23,000 guests at the impressive number of 74 check-in counters. In an average time of 18 seconds per guest, not only was the ticket scanned, but the ID was also checked and the name badge printed in full colour on-demand and handed to the guest on a lanyard. Hosts in the hall acted like marshals on the tarmac with glow sticks to guide guests to the counters.

Session management and session scanning

In addition to registration and check-in, altares was also responsible for session management and session scanning. During both the keynote and the 228 sessions, all participants were recorded by hostesses using our mobile scanners - around 65,000 scans - analysed live and the sessions managed accordingly. 

Lead capture

175 exhibitors used a total of around 580 lead scanners to digitally store contacts at their stands. This resulted in over 65,000 leads in London alone, which were subsequently made available to exhibitors as an Excel file via our exhibitor portal. Exhibitors who also appeared as speakers at sessions also received the data of the respective session visitors.

Live reporting

All important figures were constantly available via our reporting dashboard - from check-in figures to session utilisation and the number of lead scans performed at the stands as well as the evacuation list required for the UK.
